Case Studies + Testimonials
Check out three case studies where I turned tricky tech topics into clear, engaging reads for top SaaS brands. Plus, there's a quick peek at my writing process and strategy behind each case study.
Case Study #1: Establishing Paubox as an Industry Leader with 100+ Blog Posts
Paubox is an B2B email security solution for patients and healthcare providers.
As a content writer, I helped push a consistent publishing schedule with well-researched articles that answered real problems for our target audience. Over time, the blog was able to build topical authority and showcase credibility with up-to-date data and references to reputable sources.
I wrote over 100 blog posts covering topics like:
- Reviewing communication providers for HIPAA compliance.
- Defining industry terms.
- Revealing the latest cybersecurity threats.
- Discussing company updates.
- Sharing real-life case studies on healthcare data breaches.
As part of my duties, I also created blog graphics and uploaded posts to a CMS platform.
⭐ Testimonial:
"Sara has been a great asset for our B2B healthcare blog for nearly two years. She's never missed a deadline and never said no to any assignment.
She can take a vague outline or idea and spin it up into a well written post for your site. She's dependable, consistent, a great writer, and easy to work with - what more can you ask for?"
- Chloe Bowen, former Chief of Staff at Paubox
Case Study #2: SEO Glossary Hub + Content Refresh: How I Boosted Flare's Content from Day One
Flare is a Threat Exposure Management (TEM) platform that monitors and remediates data exposure on the clear and dark web.
I worked on the creation of an SEO-optimized glossary content hub that aimed to boost discoverability. I also refreshed existing content to update statistics, refine messaging, and add new sections that addressed evolving user needs.
During this time, I shared my expertise on search intent with the Flare team. It led to better alignment with the overall content strategy and increased content relevance.
⭐ Testimonial:
"Sara has been an amazing freelance writer to work with for the past few months! From the very beginning, she flagged something in the content assignment template to align it better with TOFU content, and I greatly appreciated her insights.
There can be a steep learning curve to the cybersecurity topics in the assignments, but Sara handled them with agility (such as with threat intelligence, which can be a vast and daunting topic).
I’d recommend Sara to any company looking for a skilled content writer who can adapt quickly to technical content and proactively communicate. I hope to work with her again!"
- Yuzuka Akasaka, Senior Content Marketing Manager at Flare
Case Study #3: From Brief to Page One: My Process for Writing Articles That Win on Google
LogRocket is a product analytics tool. While I mostly write on product management for its blog, I also use my past experience as a web designer to write about UX design.
In September 2024, I wrote an article called "Choosing the best color combinations for UX design".
As of February 2026, it ranks on the first page of Google for its main keyword and is referenced in the AI overview.
Here's what I did as a content writer to make the article rank:
- Discussed my past experience working as a web designer to establish expertise.
- Supported my claims by linking to authoritative references about web accessibility.
- Shared real-world examples of good and bad UX design that weren't mentioned in other top-ranking articles.
Working from a short brief, I drew on my SEO and UX knowledge to align the article with actual search intent. I re-framed the piece around helping UX designers choose colors for their specific product, brand, and use case.
Instead of simply listing popular color combinations, I explained harmonious color palettes and shared which combinations work best for certain aesthetics. I also shared specific tool recommendations to give readers actionable next steps.
By translating a generic topic into scenario-based guidance, I created content that answers what “best color combinations” searchers actually want to resolve.
